2th Japan post

Those 'few days' mentioned in the last post were not so few as I had anticipated, but here's a post for those of you still (foolishly :p) reading this blog.
The last couple of days were pretty nice, considering we did not have to go to class on tuesday and wednesday :> something to do with a queen and a birthday. For this very occasion we went to the Dutch embassy in Tokyo, which turned out to be a gathering of the sort I was happy to have left behind :) so I didn't stay too long, luckily for me Els decided to leave early as well and we went to the Animate in Ikebukuro, which was :DDDDD

Yesterday we went to Nakano to look for some obscure manga for Ho-ling and Marit. I wanted to by some stuff as well, but I really concluded i should first finish the readstuffs I have bought allready.

Today I went to a mountain (i forgot the name, but it's an hour by train from Shinjuku) with Ho-ling and Marit to look at birds and just for the sheer fun of it. Normally I'm not much of a walker, or any kind of physical excorsice-er, but today's hike was real fun. I particularly enjoyed the fresh air :> which is something that inner Tokyo sort of doesn't have.

I'm going to get ready to go to a concert I have reported earlier on, and it should be a lot of fun :D so more on that later.

ps. For those of you interested in Yanagisawa-san, much to my dismay I'm sorry to inform that she made clear she'll 'literaly' brutally and savagely kill whoever posts any pictures of her online.

instant update: the concert was a lot of fun :DD, my ratings:

deluhi: they were awesum :D i'm happy they played Orion. rating ->8
Sel'm: they were very different from last time, but still great :D and the drummer is insane. rating 8,5
Heidi: I was expecting a lot :O luckily my expectations were met, but they seemed to play waaay too short. rating->8
Dueljewel: D: no fun at all. I'd much rather have seen any of the other bands in their stead. rating-> F
Lynch: very much like i had expected them to be :D i bought their CD afterwards! rating->9

loot: deluhi-shirt+lynch CD
update 2: some pictures from the whole mountain experience:

1th Japan post!

Well, sure's been a while :) I'm sorry to those of you waiting that it took so long, but the last couple of days have been extremely busy (and tiring) so I wasn't able to post something sooner. However! Today is the day I will make up for my tardiness with a semi-interesting post, with actual pictures :D!

The first couple of days were mainly used for settling in the weekly mansion (ウイークリーマンション江古田) and getting instruction bestowed upon us by the heads of the Netherlands-Japan institute (日蘭学会) namely; Mr.Remmelink (i think..) and the delightful Miss Yanagisawa (much much more about her in posts to come, I guarantee). this was all very exciting, as well as the lessons. they are fun :)

The first weekend I went to a concert by several bands (7 in total) and that was really fun :D See Diana's blog for info about it.
Last week i went to another concert by (among other, lesser/inferior bands/acts) keiji haino and melt banana. this was a LOT of fun :o i really want to see these bands/acts again very soon! Keiji Haino is just shear geniousness, i was completely and utterly amazed by his act @_@<3
Today we went to get tickets for Heidi and others this 29th :D so that should be fun as well.

Well, what else? I've been busy with reading manga (yes yes, I'm a geek) and homework. bought some cd's/clothing as well, and offcourse a camera with which yours truly made some pictures
for your enjoyment :D But i'm to tired to upload them all now, しばらくお待ち下さい!

That's it for now! i promise to post a more interesting post in some days :)

退屈><

It's really gotten to the point I have to make nonsense posts to distract myself xD minutes seem to last hours, and I keep rereading mails containing info about the pilot-project, what we'll do the first couple of days. So for those of you interested in our endeavors, I quote:

"(after arrival)...All participants will travel by Skyliner to Ueno, change to Ginza line to Kyobashi and from there walk to the JNI.

At JNI: Simple lunch and filling out the forms for your Alien Registration Card. Hopefully this will be finished around 14:00 hrs, or 15:00 hrs at the latest.

Ekota: departure for the Weekly Mansion at Ekota and check in.
If there still is time and everybody is sufficiently "genki" we will proceed to the Nerima Ward Office for the Alien Registration. After that you are Free.

Wednesday April 8, 2009

a) If the Alien Registration cannot be done on April 7, you will depart (as a group) to the Nerima Ward Office at 8:30 for registration (breakfast at cafetaria in Ward Office). When finished, to JNI.
b) If the Alien Registration has been finished on April 7, you are expected to be at JNI around 10:00. At the JNI you will receive a general orientation on the institute, your schedule, a key to your locker etc. The afternoon is free.

Thursday April 9, 2009
